Hello!
We’re so excited to be offering two new stunning boxes that surround our Lebkuchen and Stollen this year. They are created by our artist-in-residence, Isa Fischer, who designs all our packaging. Her site: www.hausgezeichnet.info.
It’s all hand-crafted by leading chefs, non-GMO, and preservative-free. The milk, butter, and eggs are sourced responsibly.
It’s exactly the way it should be.
We hope you enjoy it as much as we and our friends and families do on both sides of the Atlantic.
You can find us online as you know and through our exciting group of Stockists located throughout the Northeast and nearby.
We love feedback. Feel free to contact us at any time with any comments or questions.
Ken and Eric - Summer, 2022
We’ve joined forces with Isa Fischer in 2019 - the illustrator, photographer, sculptor and Bremen native - to design our labels, logo and packaging since our launch. She’s a legend in northern Germany for her artistic style and amazing ability to capture the essence of life in Bremen and the region. We couldn’t be more delighted!
Isa Fischer routinely draws outside directly in front of her subject. Sometimes she has to face special obstacles to get a good view of the object to be drawn. When it's too cold to sit directly outside, in winter she sometimes draws from the car or from a house across the street.
Even during her studies at the Bremen University of the Arts with Jobst von Harsdorf and Wolfgang Schmitz, the sketchbook was part of her basic daily accoutrements. Drawing on site is still the basis for the inspiration she needs to come up with ideas for her graphic work. Over the years, numerous drawing books have been filled on trips through Europe and beyond, and especially in the ports of Bremen.
"The artist only doesn't draw outside when it gets so cold that even a woman from Bremen can't stand the fresh air anymore because it's just too fresh then."
